Today was another great day. We started out with a trip to the supermarket and we got our usual things: pizza, water, bread, fruit, etc. We realized that when Kristin is not around, we only need to go to the grocery store every other or third day as opposed to every single day.
Then we started out on our hour and half journey to Casa Esperanza. As soon as we got there, we went right to work. We put rocks around the trees we helped to plant. We took nails out of wood. And we picked up more rocks.
After all of that work was done, one of the girls came home. We welcomed her and then it was time for lunch. Lunch was some delicious pasta and leftover lentils. Great food from leftovers! They also recently received a donation of kiwis (which are very cheap down here) and Patti made kiwi juice. She basically peeled the kiwis and then put them in a blender. It was quite the treat!
After we were done eating, some more girls returned home from classes. We played with them until we went home at 3:00.
We are now waiting anxiously for Kristin to return. She landed at about 7:30 and should be back soon! We can't wait to see her!
Thanks again to Noah for being the author of today's post.
